How to distribute content that attracts an audience? As mentioned in our previous posts, content is crucial for generating traffic and valuable content will lure prospects into visiting your website.
Distributing content is as important as creating it, you need to know how to distribute your content to prospects. There are a couple of ways to distribute content:
1 Distributing through Email
Email is a great way to make offers and send out more content, but to utilize this you need to grow and maintain your email list… this is why growing your email list is part of your content strategy. As soon as any type of content is produced (blog post, podcast etc.) you can use your email list to drive traffic there.
Before sending out the emails, think about your subject line. Commonly, subject lines are the same as the title of the content, but there are other strategies you could use such as; “FINAL sale” or “CLAIM your limited offer”. These strategies will be covered in our future posts.
The introduction must be short and punchy, luring the audience deeper into the content. Your email should overall be somewhat like a story that captivates the readers attention. Don’t forget to mention the benefits that the reader gets from this email as well as a call to action button (as a hyperlink).
2 Using search marketing
Google, Bing etc., can be utilized in order to distribute content. When prospects reach your website by using a search engine (without clicking an ad), this means they have reached your business through search marketing naturally.
Search engines, such as Google, send the most relevant traffic to the searcher. This is an extremely powerful tool if used properly. Search engine marketing will be discussed in more detail in our further posts.
3 Using social media
As soon as you create a piece of content, you can use social media platforms to drive traffic to your website. This can take on several forms such as a tweet on Twitter or post on Instagram, which will notify people that new content is available.
When writing text for a social media update, make sure to think about your brand personality which will determine the way you will announce this content. The length of the caption will depend on certain policies that apply to different social media platforms and the complexity of the offer.
4 Paying for traffic
Paid traffic takes the form of advertisements which promote your content and help you reach a wider audience. Practically all platforms place ads these days, including search engines. Moreover, you can target a very specific audience with your ads, which make it a very powerful tool.
Paid traffic is predictable, which is a great advantage. When you pay Facebook to distribute your content, you will get traffic… as simple as that. Therefore, you must once again ensure the exceptional quality of your content. It would be a waste to pay money in order to promote poor-quality content. Promote content that gives value to the consumer and brings them to the next part of the funnel.
